Letter from the Founder
I started Textnovel™ after I stumbled across an article in the New York Times on Japanese teenagers who were writing and reading fiction on their cellphones and publishing them on websites.
The article reported an amazing fact: 5 of the top 10 best sellers in Japan had been created on cellphones! Since I love fiction and technology, I got excited about this new concept.
When I couldn't find an English website that allowed writers to text in their stories, or receive story updates by text, I decided to design the website myself. I found some great software developers out of Los Angeles who got excited about the project and here it is – at least here is the first version. I hope you like it.
Please be patient while we work out the bugs. This website is all about you getting your writing "out there" and having fun. So please help us know what you'd like or what we can do better on our blog at www.textnovelblog.com. We're working on Phase 2 right now so keep checking back for more exciting developments.
Enjoy!
