Writers' Tips:
Seeds and Inspiration
by Oleander De Winter

Each day, before I get on the bus to work, I try to find a seed. I look everywhere, from the nooks and crannies of my apartment, to the parks and streets of my neighborhood. I search for something, anything, out of which I can coax some small form of life. When I find one, I take it onto my first, almost empty, morning bus, and I start to grow that seed.

Life of a Writer:
The Coffee, the Moon & the Keyboard
by takatsu

All is quiet and still. Outside, the cool wintry air rattles the windows gently, stirring you from your thoughts. It's been hours since. Since the world around you went to bed. In the deep of the night, there is silence throughout your house. All doors shut, all lights turned down. Even the moon outside is muted, staring sullenly and sleepily at you. Only your face is illuminated, like the ghastly glow of an apparition in a horror movie.Read more

Tsunami Tribute

Pray for Japan

The tragic situation in Japan has been gripping the world for the past few weeks. We'd like to extend our prayers and our condolences to all those who suffered losses in the disaster. This is very dear to our hearts because Textnovel.com was originally inspired by Japanese culture and by the Japanese cell phone novel phenomenon.

The situation is still devastating as Japanese people and the world begin the struggle to rebuild and recover what was lost. To help relief efforts we would like to encourage our community members to donate and contribute in any way you can. And please continue to pray for all of our friends in Japan.

We also encourage and applaud efforts by any members of the Textnovel writing community to support our friends in Japan through storytelling that is sensitive to what has happened. One story recently launched is Firefly, a collaborative project. We encourage members to contribute to help Tsunami relief in any way they can.
