My name is Allegra and I live in the wonderfully weird town known as Portland (Oregon). I have two pets, the lovely stray cat I found when she was a kitten, Lullabell. Then the beautiful dog I picked out by myself when I was five years old, Clancy. Both are female and while I wished they'd get along, they do anything but.
My main love for writing comes from the millions of books that filled my childhood, each of them taking me away to a world entirely different than our own. For that reason I mostly write fantasy though the account I have here features all my genres EXCEPT fantasy. Seems odd right? Well most would say I'm quite odd anyway.  I'm currently working on a fantasy series that is not being posted here on textnovel, simply because I'm writing it on pen and paper for now.

Writing has always been my way to escape ordinary life, and while I'm still a novice at it, I refuse to give up on my dream to become an author (no matter how impractical it is to my parents). Oh, and I simply detest writing papers with certain prompts. So in other words, there is no way I'd be able to become sort of newspaper writer or journalist. Though perhaps a screenwriter would be okay...
Either way, being a writer of children's literature(mostly young adult fiction in specifics) is my one goal.

I write stories for the readers, for the characters, but most importantly for myself. Though it sounds selfish...and certainly not a thing books titled "how to write a novel" tell you to do, but it is the only way I could imagine achieving my dream.
