Hello my name is Angie. I'm never been a real big reader, but ideas for book pop into my head all the time. But only about a quarter of them are any good and I only through with them...never. But right now I'm actually ( at a slow pace) in the process of writing a novel (which I'll post on here). I'm a high school student going into my 11th year this coming school year. I adore the arts and culinary arts I want to pursue them when I go to college and for a future career.
I named it Love in a Polaroid, the genre is comedy, drama and little romance. It's about a interacial realtionship between a asian man and a black women, with them in college. The main person is Toni Bell a jamiacain and 1/4 african girl that has a passion for photography but keeps a secret, because her mom doesn't think it's a real profession. She always followed her mother words always wanted to be a good role model for her two younger siblings, she didn't want to make trouble for her mom (since her dad when she was seven) and her mom was a single parent. And was a parent to her younger sibling from seven to eighteen, and never did much for herself. When she goes to college to try to have alittle more freedom, and wants to tell her what she'll major but is scared. She mets Kenji "Ken" Sakamoto a korean- Japanese guy on moving day, and they have a instant connection (but she thinks it's just a friend thing). And from then on they always hang out ...together unconsieusly. Over time Toni starts to have feeling for him but doesn't want to admit it since her family doesn't agree with interacial marriage. So when Ken told Toni he like her, she doesn't know what to do. And isn't sure to tell him she likes him too but says instead I only dat her race. And they get in a agruement since Ken know it's not the truth. And says if she want to date black guy they should be hanging out all the time if he's preventing her of doing so. Toni doesn't know what do either go with my heart or to keep hiding her true feelings.
