I've been creating fantasy worlds with words since I was in middle school, but I really decided that I wanted to do this professionally while i was in college. I have many, many half written manuscripts littering my hard drive and bookshelf. But last fall I sat down with a crazy idea that sparked in my head the year before, and in four months I had the completed manuscript for Broken. I've spent the last 8 months editing.
I always thought I would write historical romances in the likes of Diana Galbaldon's Outlander or Victoria Holt. I never in my wildest dreams imagined that the voice that was really begging inside me to come out was that of a teenager. Broken is YA/crossover. But I love writing for this age group. I think it's my inner teenager wanting to be released.
I'm currently working on the next book to follow Broken called Renegade, as well as a twisted fairie tale called Redd.
