Escapism - n. the avoidance of reality by absorption of the mind in entertainment or in an imaginative situation, activity, etc.
I'm glad you've found my stories and I appreciate you taking a few moments to step into my world! Virginia Woolf once said "fiction here is likely to contain more truth than fact" and so all of the characters in my stories are inspired by people in my life - those who have touched my heart and those who have brought forth the trials I've overcome as a person. Names have been changed to protect the innocent, of course, though if you find your real name used in my stories, it's because you are not innocent ;) and I want to share with the world the influence you have had on my psyche! After all, my writings are a continuation of my thoughts and dreams, and come from my own life's experiences. So read them, enjoy them, leave feed back (constructively please!) and above all, take away from them what I always intended - a simple appreciation for the written word.
All my best in all your endeavors,
Kristin Michelle
