Folks, I just wanted to add that I am not really a novelist. I am a storyteller. Some of my chapters may be longer than the recommended 500 words, but each chapter is a mini story and I find it hard to stop until that tale is told. Some times I make two or three chapters out of the story, but I must find a natural break. I am writing so a story may be told, not just filled with words. I try to insert myself in roles so the stories can be more true to life. In my tales I strive for realism. All the guns I mention I have used often in SASS cowboy competitions. I am a shootist.
I have mountain cabins with no running water, electricity or septic system. They are truly 1880's. Being a widower, when I get too lonely, I go to my cabins in the mountains to spend time with my rattlesnakes and write until the light dims. Inside I use kerosene lamps, Aladins. Everything I write is for a good read, although the little ego I have at my age would like to see votes, too.
