I began writing when I was in grade school because my neighbor, who was 2 years ahead of me, showed me a story she had written. I wanted to do that.    I am currently a member of the WESTERN WRITERS OF AMERICA.

Check out my streamlined storefront at www.Lulu.com where you can read about the two books available for sale. My civil war novel, I Rode with Cullen Baker, has some recent reviews at Amazon. Soon my 2 Lulu books will be available as ebooks, so watch for those on Amazon.

I've created a website to showcase FLOYD, of the snakeskin boots and corn maze fame (short stories that first appeared here at Textnovel). He's best known as the hero of my collection of 16 Southern humor stories, Floyd and the Traveling Yard Sale, loosely based on an ex-moonshiner my aunt once knew. You can visit www.floydsemporium.com and find out what all the stir is about. Monthly updates usually offer a new recipe; Mae's interviews w/ Floyd; photos; and a story, joke, or anecdote. Lately there have been postcards from Floyd's collection (for sale, cheap), and some of Floyd's drawings.

My main website is www.rlbhartmann.com. Other news is there, as well as some interesting links and lots of pictures. I've also written these stories as feature film scripts, but have started reworking the scripts into episodic tv format. The first 14 are available for consideration by any interested producer who has funding.

An independent film producer Jack Schaberg generously gave writing credits on his two features, We Know Care and The End of Art. Both are available on DVD.  We have a new dramedy, scheduled for completion in the summer of 2011.

A script about cats. And people. A mother's crusade. Forgive the formatting. I'll clean up the rest of it when my internet connection is better. The story's complete...just not the editing. ...More
