I live in Minnesota with my husband and 3 kids. I didn't grow up here my family is from here so I have roots. I decided one day to leave sunny Miami Beach and all those who I knew and loved, I packed up my Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme and watched the ocean view disappear in my rearview mirror. (What could I have been thinking?) In all honesty, I wasn't a true Floridian, I was born and lived off and on in Northern California, the Bay Area. Coast to Coast and I end up in the Midwest.
I spent every summer of my childhood visiting the land of 10,000 + lakes and Little House on the Prairie and that's where I met my husband. There was one house that separated us... ahem, which meant we spent many nights together growing up. Okay, truth is my husbands best friend was my boyfriend. My husband always wanted to hook up with me though. A woman of 16 can tell these things. :) His BFF and my ex-BF are all still the best of friends even after the scandal. I have three kids 22, 20 and 16.
After the birth of my last child, I decided it was time to give up my dream of being a ballerina (I was very devoted) but wanted to continue participating in the arts. With my late sister-in-laws encouragement, okay, not exactly encouragement, she challenged me to write a romance novel. "Yeah, sure", I said. "How bloody hard can that be?" Well, I found out. I failed a lot and once in a while I would hit on a good plot, scene or GMC. Yeah, I have to say once in a while, I actually succeeded at it. I think my sister in law would have been proud of me. I put all my energies into learning the craft of writing romance. Writing anything for that matter. Even this bio.
I've finaled in a few RWA contest and made Honorable Mention in a Writer's Digest short contest.
I'm a pro member of Romance Writers of America.
When I'm not writing, I spend my time working as a full time bartender and restaurant supervisor at a lovely hotel. Besides writing FF&P, I also write Light Comedy with a suspense twist.
