Chapter 1:- Harmony Lane



It's a bad day on Harmony Lane


When sadness hits your wife.


 


You're not glad that she is sad.


But, it's your fault, you can bet.


 


Say something, say anything that day.


"You are wrong", that's what she says.


 


Irritable, bossy, and busy she is.


"I hope you don't want sex", she says.


 


To other people, she is nice that day.


Strangers are welcome, but not you.


 


She is busy, she is rushed,


Five things to take care of,


And you're not one of them.


 


She doesn't call you sweetheart,


Like she does on other days.


 


Into things she bumps,


And a few things she drops.


 


She runs in circles around the house,


Talking to the furniture, but not to you.


 


Crying in bed, she breaks into hives.


"It's youe fault, it's your fault", she says.


 


On days like that, be glad, be glad.
