Chapter 1:- Romance
I wonder sometimes how hard it truly is to love.
There's so much both people have to put into the relationship,
And our expectations are set so high.
People get hurt,
The pain is stronger the harder you try.
Some people don't belong together and no matter how hard you try,
You fail.
You cry and cry and carry on to break your heart on another pretty stone.
What kind of human love can shine with the purest light?
I want a radiant love,
Strong and protective,
Yet modest and mild.
Love is the perfect oxymoron,
Two opposites that contradict one another,
All in one word.
It's that burning, yearning, passion you feel for a lover.
And the sweet, gentle, smile you give a friend.
It's caring, and concerned, and a slap in your face.
It's violent, and soft, and beautiful, and painful.
It's nurturing, and cute, and hopeful,
And the most wonderful gift you can receive from another human.
Tell me; is it really that hard to love?
Just extend your hand, offer a smile, loan a hug.
Make a difference.
