Clark Kingsley was a man about town.  Everyone in Fort Worth knew him.  He was not one to mince words and he had a lot of money.  He also had a lot of women even though he was married with three children.  His wife Tyler knew about her husband's dalliances.  No one liked to cross Clark Kinglsey because he was a powerful man who could easily step on them.  His business partner, Addison Jeffords always was looking out for him and Clark looked out for her.  She was  fielding calls from the manager from the Johnson Rodeo.  Clark Kinglsey was entering his horses and his steer in the next round of the rodeo.  His riders always took the prizes home at the rodeo and Clark always made a good piece of change.

     "Howdy Addison!  How y'all doing this  fine Texas morning?"

    "Just peachy Clark.  We got a couple of calls from the rodeo and we got calls from the race track.  The phone has been ringing all morning.  You might want to know that your least favorite person, Cooper Madison is waiting for you in your office.  He seems put off about something," said Addison crossing her long, beautiful legs.  She wore a red dress that revealed her cleavage.  Her hair  was pulled back in a long, pony tail and she wore red rouge and a deep red lipstick.  Clark winked at her, grabbed his morning paper and shuffled into his office.

   Cooper Madison sat in Clark's chair, his cowboy hat pulled over his eyes, his boots kicked up on the desk.  Cooper was a very tall Texan and he had handsome, rugged features.  Like Clark, he was also a ladies' man.

     "What y'all want Cooper?  This better be good."

    "I heard you bought into MacHenry's ranch.  You're going to be part owner."

    "Who gave you that news?"

    "I got ways of knowing things."

   "So what's it to you?"

   "I wanted to let you know that I am now the other owner.  So we are co-owners of that ranch!"

   "I see.  Well, that won't be for long.  Now get lost!"

   "I ain't going nowhere."

   "Yes, you are, you little rodent."

   "I already started buying cattle for MacHenry's ranch."

  "MacHenry is an old friend of my Dad's.  You ain't buying nothin'.  I will be the boss of the whole operation.  Now get out of my chair or I'll call security!"

  "Okay Clark.  I'll be back soon."  Cooper left and Clark made a phone call.

   "Hey Howell.  Y'all get your carcass over here.  We have a problem.  His name is Cooper Madison."

  "I'll be right there."
