Chapter 38:- Spring Wind
We sat ourselves at a table in the back corner of MOS Burger,
in a niche behind a large column and menu posters,
away from a prying group of teenage boys who kept glancing over.

"Don't they know any manners?" Misaki was fuming.

They didn't seem like tourists, but it's hard to tell in Tokyo.
Social etiquette had unwritten rules about minding our own business.
Even in a fast food restaurant.

"They're checking out your hip hop attire." I joked pointedly.

"Hey, I'm all covered up.
They're definitely looking at your legs and that skirt,
Ms. Can't-eat-burgers-must-be-sexy."

"Shut up."

I tried hard not to blush but self-consciousness took over.
I had to resist the urge to pull on my skirt as our burgers arrived.

Uniforms were much more comfortable.
