Chapter 45:- Spring Wind
Luckily, it finally slowed and stopped.
It seemed like I had been under the table for years.

As sudden as it began,
as sudden as it ceased.

When it was over,
the rumbling disappeared
like someone took off our headphones
and silence returned as if nothing had happened.

Warily and carefully, people began to inch out from their hiding spots,
picking their way around the shattered rubble.

The table we were under stood strong, and nothing had fallen on or around us.

Soon there were voices,
hushed tones asking each other if they needed assistance, if they were hurt.
We pretended like it was business as usual. We were all used to this right?

It was a strong earthquake.
