Chapter 76:- Family
His house was quite far.
I couldn't believe he used to cycle to school.
By the time we got there, the sun was setting.
He tried to tell me he needed the exercise,
But he stopped halfway in his explanation.

His house was down a quiet side street,
Like any other, with a narrow single lane path,
Just past the river and it's open grassy field;
a tiny cream colored complex squished like a tower,
Between two larger homes that looked sprawling comparatively
A broken bicycle and a lone car sat on its drive way,
A black and tinted sedan.
Everything looked plain,
So bland and boring.

He looked almost bitter.
"There's nothing much to see."

"Oh, no, it's fine."

"That you let me visit,
Makes me happy." I added.

I gave him an encouraging smile.

He leaned over and kissed my cheek.

"Such a sweet girl."

I blushed.
