The story of the apocalypse
through a Japanese high school student's eyes.
The final days are counting down.
A story of what's truly important in life and how to fight for it.
[Based off the detailed accounts of high school student, Maho Itami, this story is created to replay the last years of Planet Earth.]
"Another brilliant cell phone novel from takatsu." - Subscriber
"All around, ear-piercing sirens exploded.
It was so high pitched, I couldn't tell if I screamed or not.
Then, it started.
The ground started shaking."
My second Japanese style cellphone novel project. I hope I can bring an original take to the apocalypse, or at least give readers a different experience through an authentic Japanese cellphone novel approach.
Chapter 89:- Family
The moon was up and the sky was dark.
But because it was the first week of June,
the air was warm and smelling like rain was coming.
June was the rainy season; there were always sudden downpours.
"Thank you for tonight. Maho."
He started calling me by my first name.
It meant we were closer now.
Whether it was because he was able to tell me everything about his mother,
and why he liked me or that it was the first time we did something like that,
I couldn't stop smiling as my heart swam with overwhelming emotions.
I hugged him at the train station and waved goodbye.
"You sure you don't need me to walk you home?"
"I'll be fine."
I smiled and was reluctant to go through the ticket machine.
He looked reluctant to let me go too,
watching till I disappeared down the escalator.
Tonight was possibly the best night I had ever had.
Shin, I'll remember this night for the rest of my life.
Everything was perfect. Too perfect.
Perhaps the life after high school wouldn't be so bad after all?
