The ocean calls to her. She steps forward and allows the clear salty water to lick at her toes. She relents and lets the soothing whispers of the ocean lure her into its watering embrace. The ocean accepts her body without question, caresses her skin, kisses her hair. She closes her eyes. Feels the gentle tug and pull of the current, feels the water playfully dancing. Only when her chest is about to burst does she rise to the surface. The water parts to let her head through, she sucks the sweet summer air into her lungs and opens her eyes to the warm sunshine. The slight current pushes against her legs as she heads for shore, trying to stop her early departure. The water cascades from her dark hair, causing her to shiver slightly. The warmth of the sun-soaked sand greets her. She falls upon its golden surface, letting it warm her chilled skin. Then his hands slide over her pale stomach and his warm lips find hers. She giggles but kisses him back with the same heated intensity. They separate and she rest her head against his bare sculpted chest.
“I missed you.” She murmurs. His fingers touch her chin and with a small affectionate nudge, tilts her face up towards him. He looks into her green eyes and kisses her softly.
“I missed you too.” He whispers into her hair. He strokes her cheek with a mother like softness. A look of complete loving admiration in his eyes. He kisses her forehead, slowly trailing kisses down her cheek. She giggles and takes his hand in hers. She wraps her body around his and looks into his hazel eyes. Drowning. His fingers tangle in her hair and their lips meet once more. A tear slides down her cheek, he draws away and looks at her with concern.
“What wrong?” he asks. Worry creasing his face. She shakes her head, a small smile playing on her lips.
“Nothing.” She replies, “I’m just so happy.”
He smiles at her, small wrinkles creasing beneath his eyes. He brings her face close and kisses the tears from her cheeks.
“I love you.” He whispers in her ear. She looks at him, her face smiling.
“I love you too.” She kisses him once more, than rests her head upon his chest.
They lie together, in the warmth of each other’s arms. Wrapped in a cocoon of their own happiness.
