Chapter 1:- Dreams and everyday stuff
Flashing lights, cameras everywhere,reporters waiting outside for an exclusive interview about my debut,fans waiting for pictures and autographs,the director keeps admiring my acting performance and the rest of the actors are just glad to have the chance to work with me.
Sounds like the perfect dream,right?I know,I keep dreaming that every night,ever since I saw some Johnny Depp movies.He’s a true talent,but I believe he works a lot too.I want to become just as famous and as hardworking.Long way to go,I know,but it’s a dream I want to do my best to reach it.
I’m just 16,it’s true I still have time to think about my future.Every time I tell mom about it,she just tells me to aim for something more palpable,that can surely help me survive on my own.Same does dad.He keeps on telling me:
‘Why not become a doctor?Sick people are everywhere.’
‘DAD!’
‘What?’
‘Stop talking like that,not everyone wants to be sick.’
‘No arguing at dinner you two.’
‘Alright,mom.’
‘Alright,dear.’
It ends like this almost everytime.I wish my friends would be a little more supportive too,but no luck again.
‘Star, it’s a big dream,but please,you know you won’t be able to get anywhere.It’s very hard to get famous.Not many people make it up there,you know very well.’ Emma keeps telling me.
Maybe she has a point.I’m not even in the school’s drama club or something,but I have my point in not wanting to join it.All their plays are just boring stuff some 12th grader guy wrote while,I don’t know,was looking at the sky,thinking of the girl he loves.In the end the whole play represents a nerd talking to his girlfriend about full moons and werewolves. No offence to the actors though,they did their best.
When I have free time I like to copy all sorts of scenes I see in movies,or after I read some scripts,most of the time I end up playing more characters at once.Even if I’m a girl I really like playing “Jack Sparrow”.Sometimes I act like him in front of everyone without even noticing,but it’s a cool part in this,because I end up making everyone laugh and have fun.That is what really makes me happy.
