Chapter 1:- Essay

Life is not about turning points. To believe our lives are controlled by 'turning points' is to dismiss our every essence of abstract reasoning, intestinal fortitude, foundational strengths, and our ability to pull ourselves out of the muck. Life is not frozen in time; Life is about changing direction when necessary.

America stands today, not because we were lucky at each of our ‘turning points’, not because we always made the best decisions; it stands because 'we the people', as a microcosm, are able to make mistakes, and then reverse directions and return to our heritage; return to our foundational strengths; our constitution and all its ideals. It returns to the grit, intelligence, and resourcefulness of its people. History records our ability to have a revolution, if need be, every two, four, or six years.

On a mythical planet called Heaven, "The Ancestors of God", I have illustrated that to believe in destiny or pre-destiny at any point, before or after a so-called 'turning point', is a sign of delusion at best, and insanity at the worst.

To blame one's failure on a grand pre-destined result is the first excuse given by the losers in this world. The 'turning point' excuse is not far removed from such excuses for failure. "If I would have only done this or that" is the usual philosophical excuse, or at least explanation, used in the first- stage words of a 'cry baby'. It gets  worse in the second stage. "If a certain person had done such and such, I would not have failed", they say.

The final stage of these cry babies is “I wish that had not happened, but now I am stuck with it; and it is your fault. You have ruined my life.”

Blaming others for our mistakes is not a turning point, it is a bad habit. Dwelling on our past failures, our past turning points, to the inducement of depression is not only counter-productive; it ruins our ability to change directions – our ability to pull out of the mud.

An apt description of all life forms might be useful.

Both camps, both the evolution scientist and the proponents of creationism, agree to   the following. (Even marriage counselors study and try to apply the following phenomenon.)

"Every entity is in a state of flux; moving, reacting, adjusting, and changing. The amount of change is, of course, dependent on its ambient environment, outside stimuli, and its basic (foundational) characteristics." -  Uncle Wayne
