-BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP-

-12:00 PM, SATURDAY
Darren turns off the alarm that sits on the table next to his bed; yawns and sits up. The sun streaks break through the blinds as he wipes the sleep from his eyes.
-CUT TO DARREN WALKING TO THE KITCHEN-
Darren open the refrigerator door, grabs a carton of orange juice, opens the top and gulps down a fair amount, then shuts the refrigerator door. Suddenly his roommate, Kevin, swings his door open and passes Darren a basketball.
KEVIN- YOU TRY’NA GO HOOP TODAY BRUH?
Darren bounces the ball once.
DARREN- YESSIR!
-CUT TO DARREN ON THE BASKETBALL COURT-
Darren dribbles the ball down court in a rush; he flings the ball to a teammate and works his way the traffic on the court. The hot sun beats down on Darren, sweat rolls down his head as he tussles with his opponent on the court. Darren breaks free from his man and cuts through the lane receiving a heavy pass from his teammate at the top of the key; he rises viciously and hammers the ball through the rim rattling the back board.
DARREN- AND ONE, AND ONE! GAME!
OPPONENT- DAMN, GOOD GAME SON.
Darren daps up his teammates as they finish their game of basketball, Darren jogs back toward the bench where his gym bag lays, grabs his bottle of water and takes a swig.
-BUZZ, BUZZ, BUZZ, BUZZ-
Darren’s phone vibrates; it’s a text from Josh, one of his fraternity brothers.
JOSH’S TEXT- D, WE’RE STEPPING TONIGHT AT THE ZETA PARTY, ROUND 8.
Darren text’s back.
DARREN’S TEXT- IIGHT THEN, YOU ALREADY KNOW IMMA BE IN THAT THANG.
-CUT TO DARREN ON HIS BIKE RIDING THROUGH CAMPUS-
-CUT TO DARREN OPENING THE DOOR TO HIS APARTMENT-
Darren sluggishly walks to his room and plops down on his bed and lets out a heavy sigh, rolls over and looks at his clock.
DARREN- DAMN!
Darren quickly hops up and opens his closet and grabs his purple shirt, fatigues and gold boots.
-CUT TO DARREN AT THE FRAT PARTY-
Darren walks through the crowd of people dancing and having a good time at the party just as the Zeta’s finish their step. Darren then lines up with his frat brothers and they begin to step.
-20 SECONDS OF STEPPING OCCURS-
-BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP-
Suddenly Darren starts to hear a loud beeping sound, he stops stepping and looks around in a daze, and everything slows down.
DARREN- NOBODY HEARS THAT?!
Darren looks around in a panic.
DARREN- YO, YA’LL DON’T HEAR THAT BEEPING?!
The beeping gets louder and louder, but the party goes on, and his fraternity brothers continue to step. Suddenly the steppers and the crowd begin to chant.
CROWD- WAKE UUUUUP, WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UUUUUP!
Darren then tries to run away, but his legs won’t move, his legs start to wobble as Darren now begins to lose his balance, he falls. The chanting then stops, everybody stands in silence looking down at Darren. Darren starts to breathe heavily in fear.
-CUT TO DARREN LAYING IN BED-
-BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP-

-12:00 PM, SATURDAY
Darren turns off the alarm that sits on the table next to his bed; yawns and sits up. The sun streaks break through the blinds as he wipes the sleep from his eyes. Darren then flings the covers from over him and slides to the edge of the bed and grabs the arm rests on his wheel chair. Darren slightly struggles to transfer from his bed to the wheel chair, but he successfully clears the first challenge of his day, and sits firmly on the cushioned seat. Darren lets out a loud sigh, then smiles.
-CUT TO BLACK-
“If you are going through hell, keep going”.
