Chapter 1:- Not Drabble for Once

Please, these wings I need to fly, high enough to touch the stars

and be far away, from the me I am today.

As I grew and changed and moved away from you and all I need to be and do.

I know I've let you down,

And let my feathers hit the ground,

To dust and dirt to cover my heart,

So I'm no longer set apart,

From the world around me,

wishing for the me I used to be.

But I know, that even though the colors are long gone,

You still hold a bond to my heart and soul and all I know,

Is I want to be better than what I was.

So please,

Clear the dust from my soul and clutter from my mind.

As I want to find the colors of my life.

As even though I,

Walked away,

And let it fade to gray,

My heart still beats and longs for you,

And I'll be stronger in everything I do.

No matter what I face, I'll always need your grace, and even though I may,

Walk away,

And let it fade to gray,

I'll always dream in color when I'm with you. And you'll see, everything I can be,

Even if I never reach the heights you intended for me;

I always want to be in your grace,

And feel the warmth of your embrace.

Wishing I never walked away,

Or let it fade to gray.

As the colors I dreamed have long been forgotten and I need you,

For every thing you do blesses my very being and feeds my soul,

And I will always know the way you painted my life.

Though I've been tainted by my own strife,

My heart will answer your call,

And I will be all I wanted and more in you,

Even if from the heights I fall,

I will still seek my dreams,

As far away as they seem,

Your eyes can see them in the me I will be.
