Chapter 1:- Saturday June 19th, 2004
"So today is the day that...(fumbling) oh shit...I uhh start my little experiment. It is currently 4:00 PM and it should be getting dark soon so I should head out."
"Traffic is shit (repeated honks). Hurry up! It's Idaho. It's got what...ten cars?"
"Alright after that whole ordeal, I'm finally out at the forest gates. 'Bellevue Forest: Enter Without Guide At Your Own Risk.' I think I'll be ok. See you on the other side Bellevue."
"Alright so this is where I am parked. I'm going to circle it on the map so I don't get too screwed up if something goes wrong. Got my compass...some (inaudible words). I should be good. Good bye civilization, hello crappy wilderness."
"Okay so might as well explain why I am out here, right? Well I do not believe in ghosts, demons, paranormal...whatever. And so my friends dared me to go out here in the good-for-nothing forests of Bellevue and look for some old house that Chinese people used to like get murdered in by thieves and crap like that (laugh). (Inaudible voice different from John Doe with the clear word: meadow, and menacing laughter). They need it for some Spirituality Class or something and I need four-hundred bucks so just do the math. I'm not entirely scared of the legends of ghost and crap surrounding this place as I am scared that I am going to be alone, in a tent, in a forest, with questionable creatures, and oh man...if I see eyes in the forest at night I'm going to piss myself, but (laugh) four-hundred dollars will run through my mind each time. I know that doesn't seem like a lot, but hell I've eaten some nasty things for a dollar."
" (Rain storm). So apparently the damn weather reporter felt like being wrong today. (Audio is choppy from rain) I'm...up my tent! Which is...easiest thing ever...in the rain. Hopefully...clear tomorrow...start fresh!
"So I'm finally in the tent. I brought a special overhang for this and a sort of lift in case of rain which I am now extremely happy I did. Should keep me dry so I don't die of hypothermia or whatever. How lame would that be...Uhh well I guess this is goodnight to day one. Today is Saturday June 19th, 2004 the start of my little journey. Wish for the best of luck tomorrow... (a loud metallic sound covers John Doe though he does not seem to notice)."
