Chapter 26:- Crawling eyes
The next time Mara rounded the dorms, the garden was empty. A breeze whistled through the branches of the big tree that overhung the courtyard, and Mara stared at the window-paned door that exited the gardens. She squinted, sure she saw movement behind the dark glass. Was someone looking out at her? Imagining how interested in the courtyard she might appear, she turned her face away and self consciously finished her route. Standing at attention at the front door, she imagined she could feel eyes on her, crawling over her back from inside the waiting room. Taking in every detail.
