Chapter 9:- 10
Aleksey ran like a mad-man across the quad, he was late for his tutoring session, and he knew that stuck up chick he got would be mad. He ran into the library and spotted her fiery red hair at a table near the back. He walked over to the table, and breathlessly said Hi. He squatted down, resting his arms on his thigh, trying to catch his breath.
She looked at him, and tapped her pencil on her notebook.
"You better have a good reason or I'm going to get someone else to tutor." She said, pointing her nose up.
Aleksey rolled his eyes, he wasn't good in English, but he understood her tone.
He took a seat across from her, putting down his bag.
"I have hockey, more important than English."
"You should re-think that, no hockey without a passing English grade."
Crap. She got him there. Aleksey looked at her for a few minutes before either said a word. She was wearing a white dress shirt, a cute one, not too fancy for an office, but definitively too fancy for university, and her hair was pin straight. Her makeup was perfectly done. She did not look like she belonged here.
"Okay, let's start." He said. He had an assignment due Monday and desperately needed help.
"On one condition, you're never late again." She gave him a little smile, and leaned forward to teach him a few basic rules.
Aleksey couldn't stop looking at her, she was talking but he wasn't paying attention. He'd been here for two weeks, and he knew he met her before.
"Where do you hang out?" He inquired.
"That has nothing to do with adjectives, Aleksey." She said, "But, I'm usually in the library, why?"
"I know you."
She laughed. "Impossible! You're an athlete, and in case you didn't notice, I'm a bookworm."
"A hot bookworm," He mumbled.
"Excuse me? I heard that, watch your mouth."
Aleksey rolled his eyes, she sounded like his mother. It was ten o'clock by the time he got out of the library. The librarian had to kick them out, and he was relieved.
He opened the door to their third floor dorm room and climbed his bunk. He heard Dallas typing away on his computer, it was soothing and Aleksey passed out, fully dressed.
