Ha! Got 'cha good with that last chapter .... I bet'cha didn't think I'd stick a recipe from some ol' lady somewheres in my lifetime in here. <--wink
And I told 'cha that I tweeked it. Whereas, you used the dry onion soup mix - and mixed it into your burgers; I use the canned soup version so that I can have an Au Jus to dip my burgers into. What inspired me to do so was the fact that I so love the Philly Cheese Dip sandwiches you can get from family diners. I was introduced by some lady my Dad was aquainted with while we were travelling through the States during my childhood to the Philly Cheese sandwich with an au jus to dip it in ... to soften the bread to be easier to bite into and chew... ...Mmmmm, it was delicious!
I had children, my own included, that didn't like the onion burgers due to the word, 'onion' ... But boy, I tell you! ... Having an au jus to dip into... the children developed a bravery to get past the 'onion' to try a new flavor that wakes up a plain ol' hamburger! My my my ...........
