Chapter 1:- No matter what




"Be nice to your mate. Nothing else matters".




Of this claim,


You may scoff, deny, and verbalize your wit.


But, just before you sleep tonight,


A  spirit will tell your heart:


"Without your mate, nothing seems to matter much".


 


Live, prosper, and grasp at straws.


Struggle, sweat, and accumulate your worth.


But, just before you sleep tonight,


Your spirit will tell your heart:


"I am alone, I am alone,


 and no one cares."


 


Of this lore, you have known for sure.


And yet, not for sure;


Else,


why search for who you are?


 


Just before you sleep tonight,


Your spirit and heart will say:


"Goodnight Sweetheart, (wherever you are)


I wish I had been nice to you, no matter what."       


 


Be kind to your mate.


If you don't have one,


 you can get one.


Not by tricks or


 lucky stars,


It simply is


what it always was; A gift from God.


 


But, life and God demand a price.


For your neighbor and your wife:


Work hard, but be nice --


No matter what.
