“It’s getting harder every year. More and more, people are loosing parts of themselves and are forgetting the true meaning of Christmas. By doing this, they lose bits of their own internal conscience, and thus limit the effect I can have on them.”

“Let me guess, the birth of Christ?”

“No actually.”


“Christ wasn’t born at this time; he was actually born in the spring. Palestine is far too cold this time of year for Shepard’s to be out in fields. Trust me, I know.”

But that was just it, I ‘didn’t’ want to trust her.

Because that would mean admitting that all the craziness she was telling me right now was true.

That the impossible was in fact possible.

I shook my head.

“What then is the true meaning of Christmas?”
