I run, trying to get away. The road is slick beneath my feet, my dress flies behind me like a cloud.
Run. Run. Run.
Voices torment my mind, rip my brain, snatch away my sanity.
First, my arm falls, I look back at it, but there is nothing I can do. The blood seeps into my white dress, but it does not hurt. I continue to run along the dark road, lighting clapping, rain falling. My other arm falls away, but I ignore it.
Run. Run. Run.
The voices chant, I continue on blindly, rain stinging my eyes, soaking my clothes. I hear a plod and look back, my heart is gone, fallen to the ground, I look down at the gaping hole in my chest and try to stifle the bleeding, but there is no use. I begin to slow, the blood everywhere, my vision hazy, my movements, clumsy and drunk. Then my legs detach, and I fall onto the rain-streaked road. My cheek pressed to the bitumen. I feel my body crack, feel it begin to shatter, to perish unto the wind. Until I am left with nothing, Until I am no more.
