Chapter 1:- Nicholas Hopper
It was as if the world had ended and Nicholas Hopper was the only thing, let alone person, that had remained. And he was walking; alone and weeping tears of spite, he began to run and run until there was no Earth left to run on. And Nicholas fell. Fell into a never ending depression filled with self-loathing.
It all started when Nicholas was an innocent boy of twelve. Nicholas was a proper child, unlike his brother William. William was extremely interested in sports and very interested in women. What he lacked in intelligence he made up for in brute strength. William had everything and God with him at his side. Nicholas was in the shadows of William's life. Nicholas got average grades, was not very interested in sports aside from the occasional football game, and women were few in his life beyond friends. The only thing similar between Nicholas and his brother was their belief in Christianity.
To his parents, Nicholas was the good child. To Nicholas, he thought he was his parents forgotten child. His father, John, tried to be there for both of his children, but he was always working at the hospital and never seemed to have time for Nicholas. Though he always seemed to have time to go and watch William's football games. Nicholas' mother, Sandra, was home all the time, but she was pregnant with the third Hopper child. Sandra had been busy for the last few months working on getting the baby's room ready. She was eight months pregnant and by her own words it was eight months too long. Neither John nor Sandra had any time for Nicholas. Between John's job, church, William's games, and building the baby room, Nicholas was on his own for much of the time.
