Chapter 14:- Morning
Behind my eyes, orange and black
and blue and red dots
blur into a wild pattern.

I blink, the sunlight shines through
the half-closed roller blind
and splotches my blancket and my face
with small spots of light.

The bedding smells
of washing powder
and mown grass
and sunshine
and summer.

Outside, the morning birds are chirping.

All is soft and warm.
Too warm.
I feel hot.
Is it possible that the heat has become even stronger?

I sigh and roll out of my bed.
For a moment, I see nothing but stars,
and feel faint.

In this very moment, I remember yesterday.
I had not talked to him yet.
I had talked to my brother and then did my best
not to go out again.

But I would not be able to pass another day inside.
And I can't let him down.
He deserves an answer.
