Chapter 1:- Prologue
“The mountain, it divides us, it stands between us; it protects us,” the voice of the boy spoke out through the piercing night.
“The mountain, it separates the wheat from the chaff, it blocks evil; it protects us,” came the voice of the girl.
“The mountain, the only sight I have ever seen beyond the borders of my land,” the young male voice continued.
“The mountain, the tall and magnificent, that which stands between us and them,” her voice resounded.
“The mountain, which is not to be crossed…” his voice echoed.
“For our enemy lies on the other side,” the words sounded learned.
“The pagans live beyond it,” he stated.
“They which are everything we are not, they which believe what we don’t, they who practice evil…” her voice rang out as if practiced a thousand times.
“The mountain, which was placed by God to divide the evil ones from the righteous,” his voice cried out.
“But still…” she cooed.
“I wonder…” he sighed.
“What might truly…”
“Lay beyond that which…”
“we call…..”
“the Mountain.”
