Chapter 59:- Chapter 11 (Part 1)
The late morning sun shone down on Rachel as she walked the newly swept streets of the town on her way to one of her chores. It was a calm and beautiful day, most of the damage was already patched, and what hadn’t been, would be done today.
Turning down a corner of a street, she walked a bit down a stretch of road eventually leading her to the entrance to the livestock facility. Entering inside she looked around, spotting the cow.
“So, you were too stubborn to die because of the winds after all,” she laughed.
She was met quickly by a huff from the cow and an indignant stomp. She laughed.
“So, what happened to you yesterday?” a familiar voice behind her asked.
“Rebecca,” replied Rachel turning around, “What are you doing here?”
“You’re always gone for most of the morning before you come back,” she said.
“Well, I, um, enjoy the scenery and flowers,” she said.
“And you went over there almost the exact same time as before,” she replied.
“It’s just a convenient day, why? Is something wrong?” Rachel asked nervously.
“Where do you go exactly?” she asked.
Rachel gulped lightly, “What do you mean?”
“I mean, where do you go usually when you leave,” she asked.
“Random locations and such,” she said.
“What was the thing you said you couldn’t tell me before?” she continued with her barrage of questions.
“I told you, I can’t tell you yet,” she replied.
Sighing Rebecca held her head in her hand and then smiled, “Alright, that’s ok, I’ll accept your mysterious ways for now. Be sure to tell me when you can, alright?”
“Of course,” Rachel replied relieved.
“Ok, I’ll go back then, thanks for answering my questions,” she replied, then turning around, walked off.
After several moments, Rachel silently thought, ‘Well, that was sudden.’
