Chapter 12:- First Sight
"Do you believe in gargoyles?"
Gargoyles? Why would he ask a strange question like that for?
"Gargoyles?...I guess so." I answered looking at him strangely. "Why do you ask?"
"No reason. I just wanted to know if you believed in them or not."
"Oh, ok." I said still looking at him. Before I could ask him what he was doing over here Adam pulled me close to him and whispered in my ear.
"See you later Lain..." He said in a soft voice and with that he left.
I stood there still trying to comprehend what had just happened when Kendra popped around the corner and shook me back to reality.
