I walked back to the wall where I'd seen him the day before, but he wasn't there. I walked all over the school yard in serch of Adam but he was no where to be found. I was about to give up when he came up behind me and startled me.
"Whoa!" I said as Adam gave me a weird look when I backed away from him.
"Your really jumpy today aren't you?" He said shaking his head at me.
"I wanted to ask you something..." I stopped trying to figure out the right words to say.
He just stared at me waiting impatently like he had something else to do so I just blurted it out.
"I saw a creature last night and he sounded just like you."
"Well obviously I'm NOT a creature." He said to me sounding annoyed and a bit offended by my comment
"Well how did you make that robot sound exactly like you then?" I said still pressing him for answers.
"I don't know what your talking about, just go away already."
"Hey, your the one who came to see me this morning and I just want the truth ."
"Look Lain, were not friends so back off already. I can't stand your scent, come near me again and I'll kill you understand."
He turned and walked away. I stood there stunned and felt the anger rising in me once again. I hated this school!
