Chapter 59:- Jewels of Plenty
Adam shielded me with his body and stood drawing his sward as The Hunters continued toward us. I looked over at Kendra and she just smiled and I knew she had betrayed me once again. How stupid was I for falling for the friendship lie? She didn't wanna be my friend, she just wanted to kill me!
"Ah, Miss Tamsen we meet again." I recognized the voice belonging to Kendra's father. "I want my jewels back Miss Tamsen."
"I-I don't have them." I said because I really didn't.
"Your lying!" Kendra said. "I gave two of them to you so you can drop the I'm innocent act Lain."
Adam raised the sward just as a whoshing sound passed overhead and I looked up to see The Haven Clan land in front of Adam. I felt relieved to see all of them especially after what had happened at the house.
"Lapis, take Lain to a safe area, we can take it from here." The queen ordered and Adam took my hand and we started running towards an alley. I heard gun fire and growls behind us and as we reached the end of the alley Erasmus landed in front of us. He growled at us as Adam still had his sward in hand ready to attack when I pulled out the black jewel.
"Your not gonna do anything." I said flashing the jewel in the light as Erasmus realized that I had taken it from him earlier and by the look on his face he was mad for not keeping his things more locked up.
