"Why would The Slayers be after her?" Tybrus asked pacing back and forth on the rooftop.
"Because they think Lain is the chosen one from the prophecy." Drake said.
"I don't care what they think! You'd better tell them to back off!" Adam said clenching his fist so tight that it was shaking.
"Look, I can't do that Lapis-"
"Then I'll do it!" Adam angrily slammed his tail on the roof making the cement crack. Before I could step in Tuffara beat me to Adam.
"Hold on Lapis!" She said putting her hands on his bare chest. "The Slayers would kill him if he stood up to them."
"She's right. Drake said. And that's exactly why I came here to help you-"
"No!" Adam growled. "I wanna know about this prophecy, what's it have to do with Lain?"
Sigh. "She's the only one who can help us." Drake said looking towards me.
"Ttell me...please?" I asked Drake and he nodded his head ready to begin his tale.
