Chapter 1:- First Boyfriend
That was eighth grade,
That was two years ago,
You were the spoiler,
The one who let it all go,
I was the one who started it,
And maybe the one who ended us,
But it lasted three days too long.
I remember feeling so embarrassed,
As I watched you talk to her,
Telling her that I was pretty,
Saying lies that tangled up,
And starting rumors of what can be,
I believed your ever-deceiving dark blue eyes,
And your texts about eternity.
The last day of technology class was quickly nearing,
I walked outside with my friends,
You slowly followed me around the grass,
Watching me talk to them,
The mentos and soda experiment started,
You stood at my side,
I reached over for your hand,
But felt that icy glare inside.
Later that day you frantically texted me,
I stared at the letters cautiously,
That day will forever haunt me,
As I wrote a break up speech,
You didn't take any offense,
You said it was alright,
I looked back on that day and thought,
Why did you say yes if you wanted to say no?
