The castle buzzed with news, but the young and mischievous prince was unaware of it. Prince Alexid was a natural born prankster and the only thing on his mind today was who his next victims would be. He made a checklist of all the people he had pranked in the last couple of days and decided that today the fragile gardener, Fester, was going to get a scare.

He was strolling through the garden, wondering where Fester had gone when he saw something through the bushes. He braced himself in case it was a thief and peeked through the bush. He let out a relieved sigh as he saw, not a burglar, but a young girl. She was picking flowers and twirling in circles, looking completely lost in her happiness. For some reason the sight seemed beautiful to Alexid and that exact beauty was the reason that he decided to scare this unexpected child. The opportunity just seemed to be too good to pass.

 The girl stood completely still, enjoying the gentle breeze that lifted her short dark brown hair and ruffled her soft yellow dress. For a split second Alexid thought she looked like a sunflower. Alexid slowly crept closer and closer to her until he was only a jumping distance away. He took a breath and then pounced, meaning to grab her shoulders and yell 'boo', but meeting nothing except air and the ground he now lay on.

 He looked around for her, but she was no where. Had she run away believing that Alexid was a thief? Then he heard a gasp from above. He looked up to meet the surprised gaze of the same sunflower-girl that he had been trying to scare.
