Chapter 6:- Questions
Ryo got assigned the seat right next to me. The teacher also wanted to assign a buddy to him but Ryo just said that he already had one. And the teacher was glad to hear it was me. Throughout Japanese history he passed notes asking questions about me, such as; "Do you have any other siblings?" or "Have you always lived in Japan?" I never answered to the notes. I either put them in my desk or pockets. Why did he want to know so much?
When it was finally the end of class I gathered my things together as fast as I could hoping he would forget that I was to show him around. I was pushing my luck a bit too much.
"Can you show me the way to the lunchroom?" Ryo asked with a smile. His smile was beautiful almost... No. Get a grip Mizuki!
I wanted to tell him that there was a bunch of girls ready to show him around all he wanted. Why did he want me to do it? But I didn't say anything.
"Yeah sure." I answered instead.

Once we were in the cafeteria I showed him how things worked and eventualy two guys came to join us. As they were talking with Ryo I could quickly escape and join my friends who were already eating.
"Were you showing that new guy around?" asked Tsubaki.
"Yeah. It's pretty enoying, really." I answered opening my lunch box.
"Really? I know some girls who would die to be in your place!" she replied looking at the other girls.
"Well, he's bothering me with questions."
"He just doesn't know how things work. You should have more patience! You used to be good at that!" she replied.
"But, the questions are all about me. It's really strange."
"Maybe he likes you!?" Kamiko exclaimed. I felt my cheeks go red, and pretended to be busy eating.
"Look she's blushing!" cried out another girl. I looked up and swallowed my food.
"That's because you're embarassing me!" I defended myself. The girls looked at each other and giggled. I finished eating quickly and got up from my seat.

I headed to the little pond our school had in the little park behind the school. Few people came here and it was really relaxing. Hearing the flow of the water, feeling the warm sun on your skin and an ocasional soft breeze. Then I heard a voice behind me.
"You never answered any of my questions." No doubt it was Ryo. I stood up he seemed to be standing closer than just a moment ago. I took a step back.
"How did you know I was here?" I asked surpried.
"I see you still don't trust me. Do you?" he seemed a bit disappointed, "Would it help if I told you a bit about myself?" he asked, "I won't go much into detail, don't worry." He looked at me, hope was clearly in his eyes.
"Sure." I said after hesitating a bit.
"Let's sit down first." he proposed.
We sat down in the grass facing the pond. Everything seemed perfect. Perhaps too perfect...
