Chapter 29:- Chapter 29
David puts his face close to Connie’s and breathes her in. He seems to pull the whole of her into her lungs as if he is afraid he may never be this close to her scent again.

“Ah, David wanted to see you,” says the man.

David touches her hand and there is something terrible and desperate about his face. There are dried streaks of blood on his forehead, but other than that, he looks physically OK.

“David has been telling me all about you, Connie,” as though the man and David had been having a tea party filled with gossip.

The man giggles his horrific giggle.

“You know,” says the man, “if you just do a few things for me every now and then, I can return David to you now, and he will remember none of this,” says the man.

“What … do you mean?” Connie mumbles, unable to take her eyes off of David, as if he may disappear at any moment.

“Say, you agree to … give me certain things, things you have been doing already. You agree to do these things for the rest of my life. You promise. I will give you back David, good as new.”

Connie notices that there is a long streak of wet going down David’s pants. David is terrified of this place and being in such a close vicinity to the man, she sees that now. He is wetting himself. David is like a dog urinating on the floor out of pure terror that their master is going to beat them again.

“You can, you know, marry him if you want. Have wee ConnieDavids someday. Little fat flesh everywhere”

The man looks hungry at this.

“You can…” the man salivates, “be in love all you want, fuck your skin silly.”
