I don't know why I stayed in my locker after the eighth graders pushed me in and slammed the door on the first day of school.
It was cramped at first, but I twisted myself around so I could sit in there and be comfortable. The slits in the door let me see everyone as they walked by in the hall, even the bullies that put me in there. Sometimes my friends came to their lockers for books, and I even saw the bratty seventh grade girls who thought they were so much better than everyone else because they were pretty. I heard everything, saw everything, and nobody saw me.
I scrounged around and found my books, folders, pens and paper. I even found some straws and ketchups from the cafeteria.
I thought to myself, this could be very cool!
