Chapter 1:- Other

Where is God?

Natalie immediately sent God a telepathic message, "Honey, are you okay?"

After receiving no response, Natalie turned to Jesus, and said, "He probably got   my message, but couldn’t respond. He is probably too busy concentrating on fine  tuning his instruments. I shouldn’t have bothered him during this critical phase of his trip.”

Gabriel, seeing the fear in Jesus' face, said, "Even teleportation capsules powered by anti-matter are subject to the gravitational pull created by huge planets and large rogue asteroids. Your father is a fine technician, and an excellent scientist. He will be okay."

Natalie joined in and said, "I will not send him another message until I know he has passed the asteroid belt circling Jupiter. That should be sometime tomorrow morning."

Jesus, realizing that it was a time to seek calmness in the laboratory, replied in a routine manner, "It sounds good, I suggest we call it a day, and meet back here in the morning to contact Dad."

 ***

That night Natalie could not sleep in her house for worrying about God. She teleported to the laboratory, and slept in one of the spare bedrooms adjacent to her work area.

When they met in the lab the next morning, Gabriel predicted the time at which point God’s capsule would not be subject to Jupiter’s asteroid ring, and then announced, “If things are going according to schedule, God is now in a clear zone  and should be able to pick-up a telepathic message.”

Natalie immediately sent the following message, “Please let us know if you are okay.”

She repeated the message every 5 minutes and then turned to Gabriel and said, “Hook up our contact with the commercial outer space mining vessels in that area. Then, give me a weather report and a radar scan of God’s route to Earth.”

Gabriel complied, and Natalie rushed to the computer monitors; one was for the weather report and one for the radar scan of God’s route.

The weather was normal, but God’s capsule could not be seen on the radar scan.

Natalie immediately started crying and said, “Gabriel, I am afraid God is lost, what can we do? I just realized that God cannot be reconstructed because his formula is in the computer chip in his arm. All his thoughts and knowledge are in that chip. If the chip is lost, he is lost. His guaranteed survivability was based on that computer chip, based on him remaining on Planet H, and that damn chip remaining  on Planet H. What can we do?”

Jesus was speechless; he just stared at his mother as tear drops fell from his eyes.

Gabriel said, “All is not lost, I just hooked up the Eye Transmitter detector and saw that God is presently looking at his instrument panel. We cannot see God, but his eyes are transmitting a clear signal of what they see. God is alive and doing his job.  Wait! Come quickly over here, we can see that God is looking out of the capsule port window and seeing Earth. Is that a beautiful sight, or what?”

Natalie stopped crying and said, “No. That is not a beautiful site. I hate Earth, I hate the Earth Mission. And, I hate the new humans for taking God away from me.”

Jesus surprisingly came to the rescue and said, “Gabriel, quickly intensify the eye transmitter detector, and the next time God looks toward his arm, copy all the information from his computer chip to the main memory banks of Planet H.”

Natalie wanted an explanation. But, there was no time for an explanation.  Gabriel knew the incredible capabilities of the eye transmitter detector, so he ignored Natalie’s request, and quickly complied with Jesus’ request. Gabriel saved God’s life before Natalie could finish asking for an explanation.

Natalie yelled “Yippee, Yippee! I take it all back. Earth is the most beautiful planet in the Universe. Now that God has his guaranteed survivability back, I even love those damn new humans.”

Jesus noted that the new humans were going to be protected regardless where they were in the Universe, but that God’s protection had been overlooked.

Natalie asked, “What about it Gabriel, why wasn’t God’s computer chip recorded before he left Planet H?”

Gabriel replied, “We discussed replacing it, but not recording it.  And, I mentioned to him that the computer chip seemed to interfere with the eye transmitter sending us a reconstruction formula. The eye transmitter has no problem doing its other tasks; it just seems, at times, to be in competition with the computer chip in his arm.

“He should have had his computer chip removed and then we could have used his eye transmitter for a real-time up-to-date reconstruction formula.  But he didn’t want anymore delays. And, he didn’t want to take the chance that his feelings and thoughts might not be recorded on his trip. But, quite honestly, neither of us thought about recording his computer chip as a safety precaution.”

Natalie immediately told Gabriel to notify the COG about the emergency, and to suggest that they tell all people to record their computer chips prior to doing anything dangerous.

Jesus stood up and calmly said, “God will be arriving on Planet Earth tomorrow. I suggest we get a good night’s sleep and meet here again in the morning.”

As they were walking out of the lab, Natalie hugged Jesus and Gabriel, and then said, “Thanks for saving God’s life.”
