Chapter 2:- Want to be Noticed
The girl entered the room with a jangle of bracelets and a strange tinkling of bells.
I watched her. Other people were looking at her, too. She wanted to be noticed. She looked like one of those people who didn't like blending in with the crowd. She had her own sense of style.
She had dyed her hair a bright pink color and wore matching pink eyeshadow, bold and shiny on her eyelids. She wore a pink and black plaid skirt with folds that had layers underneath to make it stick out instead of going straight down. Her bright green t-shirt with a pink dinosaur stood out in contrast with her black, big, knee-high, gothic-style, platform boots. The tinkling sound, I saw, came from her shoes. She had tied tiny silver bells on each yellow shoelace.
She was in the room only a moment. Then she was gone, without a word, leaving the sweet smell of perfume hanging heavy in the air.
